About the Tournament

 

The Mid-South Basketball Association Tournament is a professionally operated basketball event created to bring elite-level competition to the Mid-South region. Designed for high-level teams and players, the tournament emphasizes organized play, certified officiating and a structured competitive environment.

The tournament is presented by Malik Hines and Micheal Carter and made possible through the resources from Updated Spaces of Mississippi, whose investments helps ensure high-quality facilities, professional operations, and premier experience for athletes and teams.

Event operations, logistics, scheduling, and onsite coordination are manage by Momentum Logistics LLC, ensuring the tournament is executed with efficiency, transparency, and professionalism.

The Mid-South Basketball Association Tournament is held in honor of Omar Carter, whose passion for the game and lasting impact continue to inspire this event.

Playing With Purpose

The Mid-South Basketball Association Tournament is more than competition — it’s a community.

A portion of tournament proceeds will benefit the UMMC Cancer Center and Research Institute and Children’s of Mississippi Hospital.

This year, we are proudly raising awareness for:

  • 💗 Breast Cancer Awareness

  • 🧩 Autism Awareness

Through athletics, we stand in support of families battling cancer and children living with autism across Mississippi.
