Rules & Eligibility

The Mid-South Basketball Association Tournament is governed by standardized competitive rules to ensure fair play, safety, and professionalism throughout the event. Tournament organizers reserve the right to enforce all rules and make final decisions regarding eligibility, scheduling, and conduct.

The Mid-South Basketball Association Tournament features a $30,000 championship prize pool supported by private investment and partnerships. Prize payouts are subject to official tournament rules, eligibility requirements, and completion of the event.

Team Eligibility

  • The tournament is open to eligible adult teams as defined by tournament organizers.

  • All players must meet age and eligibility requirements set by the Mid-South Basketball Association Tournament.

  • Teams must complete official registration and submit required information prior to participation.

  • A team’s roster is final once the tournament begins. No roster changes will be permitted after check-in. 

Player Eligibility

  • All players must present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in.

  • Players may only compete on one registered team during the tournament.

  • Any player found participating on multiple teams will be disqualified.

  • Tournament organizers reserve the right to verify player eligibility at any time.

Game Rules

  • Games will be played under standardized basketball rules adopted by the tournament.

  • Certified officials will be assigned to all games.

  • Game length, timeouts, and overtime procedures will be communicated prior to the event.

  • Tournament format, seeding, and scheduling are determined by organizers.

Conduct & Sportsmanship

  • Unsportsmanlike conduct by players, coaches, or spectators will not be tolerated.

  • Fighting, threatening behavior, or abuse of officials will result in immediate ejection.

  • Tournament organizers reserve the right to remove any individual or team for misconduct without refund.

Equipment & Uniforms

  • Teams must provide matching uniforms with visible numbers.

  • Proper athletic footwear is required.

  • Jewelry and unsafe equipment are prohibited during play.

Check-In & Arrival

  • Teams must arrive and check in at the designated time prior to their first scheduled game.

  • Failure to check in on time may result in forfeiture.

  • Teams are responsible for monitoring schedules and announcements.

Prize & Payout Information

  • Prize amounts and payout structure will be announced prior to the tournament.

  • Payouts are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with all tournament rules.

  • Tournament organizers reserve the right to withhold or revoke prizes in cases of rule violations.

Liability & Waiver

  • Participation is at each player’s own risk.

  • The Mid-South Basketball Association Tournament, its organizers, partners, sponsors, and affiliates are not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the event.

  • By registering and participating, all teams and players agree to release and hold harmless the tournament and its affiliates.

Final Authority

All decisions made by tournament organizers are final.
